That's because I'm a very busy "people photographer" both in the consumer marketplace as well as the commercial photography marketplace.
I schedule my family and children's portrait sessions around my commercial photography assignments, which many times fill my calendar for several weeks (sometimes months) at a time. So it's important for you to call now, so you will be guaranteed a session date when they become available.
It's also important for you to start this process early, so that you can have your finished portraits on the date that you expect them to be ready. I don't want you to be disappointed, so I urge you to call and get on my waiting list. Don't assume that you have plenty of time. I might be booked up and that will cause you to wait longer for a session. And that, in turn, will knock your delivery date back by weeks! So start the portrait process early!
People on my waiting list are given the first chance to schedule a session.
